Mungunui Lodge was established in 1987, and offers luxury lodge accommodation with ensuites, home cooked cuisine, New Zealand wines & beverages.

The Lodge boasts outstanding views of the privately owned 2000 acre hunting area, the Tasman Sea & surrounding national forests.

The Lodge runs on a powerful wind & solar powered system, making the lodge truly unique & self-sufficient.

The hunting area consists of several streams, heavily wooded in the bottoms with more open glens & beautiful pure New Zealand scenery.

All the species can be observed & hunted in this private hunting area. The area is best hunted using "spot & stalk" technique, this is very exciting with most shots from 100- 250 yards. Generally hunters will observe between 5 & 10 Red Stags per day, from 280 to over 500sci.

Other species to be seen during the hunt include; Sika, Samba, Fallow, Rusa, Arapawa Sheep, & Feral Goats with the occasional mob of wild Boar.
